Registration is OPEN! There are TWO 4-H summer camp for ages 9-18 and one Clover Day Camp for ages 5-9. Instead of trying to explain everything in an email, I made a post to keep the information in one place. I’ll also post this on Meetup, although we will need to transition to another setup in the upcoming year, our Meetup group will be going away.
Summer Camp #1 at Sweetwater from June 17-22nd, 2024
4-H Camp is returning this summer and will be held June 17-22 at Sweetwater Youth Camp in Mariposa, CA. This year, our 4-H Camp will bring together Contra Costa, Alameda, San Joaquin, and Mariposa county 4-H. The cost is $425 for youth, which includes transportation (drop-off location TBA).

For many 4-H members, camp is the highlight of the year. We have secured a beautiful facility in Mariposa (with cabins!!) Campers will participate in a variety of experiences, such as outdoor cooking, STEM learning,
orienteering, hiking, and so much more. Each afternoon and evening will have themed activities, and we will end each day with a wind down at campfire.
Campers will be dropped off at 8am on Monday, June 17, location TBA.
Camper pick-up will be at 3pm on Saturday, June 22, location TBA.
The drop-off and pick-up location is TBA, but we are working to find a location that will be centrally located for members in Contra Costa, Alameda, and San Joaquin.
We need chaperones too! Chaperone fee will be $210 (may be reimbursable, please check with your county office). Chaperones must be a registered 4-H volunteer.

Clover Day Camp for ages 5-8, June 25th

Arrival 10 am, Departure 5:45 pm
4-H members ages 5 – 9

Clover camp is a fun-filled one-day camp for up to 24 4-H clover members. The Clover Camp leaders are older 4-H members that are part of 4-H camp staff.
Each year, fun activities are planned including Arts and Crafts, Carmalotta Hunt, campfire, songs, and yummy kid-friendly meals.
All Clover Camper applications will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If Clover Camp fills up before the application deadline of May 15, Clovers will be added to a waitlist and notified by email.
Parents are responsible for travel arrangements
At least one parent is encouraged to attend with their child.
The fee is $60. per clover – Parents attend at no charge.

In the event that a parent is unable to attend, please arrange with a volunteer approved 4-H parent to transport your child and stay with them for the entire event. We are required to have a 2 to 8 adult 4-H Volunteer to youth ratio for the clovers that attend for the day. We encourage carpooling.
