It looks like Alameda County 4-H will be returning to our Cake Booth at the Alameda County Fair, where we sell drinks and cake to raise money for the county as well as earn tips for our own club (and a small portion of the earnings if I remember correctly). Fair hours are 11am to 11pm, the cake booth will be open from 11am to 10pm. The AM shift will be 10:30 to 4:30 and the PM shift will be 4:30 to 10:30. They are asking that each club do at least one full day, two days if possible, but I’ll be happy if we staff one full day. They would like 3 adults and up to 6 kids (7 and older) for each shift.
Members have always enjoyed working the Cake Booth in the past, it’s a fun day and there should be free parking and entrance passes into the Fair as well, which means you can walk around and see the 4-H exhibits and the animals when you are done working.
